hurricane irene bho server
Our main server is located in NYC. Hurricane irene is supposed to hit NYC pretty hard. I have a backup server located in Chicago. I will move the site(s) to that server tomorrow night. This way if they have issues with internet connectivity power etc in NYC it wont affect us. The site maybe down for a few hours starting at 9 pm Friday.

Thanks Chop. Wish I had somewhere to move my servers to, there all here in Rockville,MD... Haven't lost power yet and they tested the generator and it is working....

Funny, my server is in Utah, and I never worry about anything weather related. I do have some concern that it could become be part of a large polygamist group of servers someday. My original hosting company (very small) was swallowed up by a conglomerate and everything was downhill after that. It was supposed to be sunny today, I got up and it was cloudy, checked the weather radar and we're getting just some clouds from Irene, no rain. I hope anyone in the effected area is doing OK.

We got lotsa rain[no flooding yet] and some wind. Cold as hell today, 46* up here in central NY. Hope it warms up some.
