Seneca Tpke., Syracuse, NY 13215) on Tues., March 30 from 10AM-12:00 Noon for a “hands-on” presentation by Chief Peter Miller (Highland Falls PD) and Lt. James Halvorsen (NYSP) which will help officers to take the “mystery” out of motorcycle enforcement. This free training program, facilitated by Dominick Macherone (GTSC Liaison), will take attendees on an in-depth tour of motorcycle equipment and motorcycle law. This session is ideal for patrol and traffic officers and will also be of interest to other traffic safety partners. Participants will receive a flash drive including course materials and PowerPoint file. Certificates of attendance will be sent via e-mail. To register, contact Jennifer L. Power, Onondaga Co. Traffic Safety Coordinator at 315-431-9583 ext. 13 or jpower@safetycouncilny.org Register soon as we anticipate a large attendance! If you cannot attend this particular session, check below for other sites. Topics: Muffler— how loud? Handlebars— how high? Goggles or face shield? What’s an “approved” helmet? |

More evidence that the law here in NY are going to step up enforcement. heard a rumor that this was going to happen, the state has to pay for all that rock salt they throw down on the roads in the winter. Seriously though, the state is in a bad way financially, So instead of cutting back like you and I would do . They figure out ways to generate more income. To waste. New York riders be aware.

The list of topics do seem skewed more to revenue generation than safety enhancing.
