From The Connecticut Motorcycle Riders Association's Rich Paukner Connecticut Motorcycle Riders Association
Hello All: On this Monday at 10:00am the Transportation Committee will conduct a public hearing on 81 bills including three that deal with motorcycles: Public Hearing on SB 821 – would require exhaust pipes to have a matching ID # (VIN ??) same as the mc - mismatched pipe with VIN equals violation UNLESS mismatched pipes pass existing noise regulations; Public Hearing on HB 6214 – would require the registration of a motorcycle be to only someone having a valid mc license endorsement More importantly, the Committee has decided to draft into a committee bill the following: SB 826: - would deny registration to any motorcycle violating the requirements in SB 821 above. Anyone wishing to attend this hearing should provide written testimony supporting their view on either of these issues and plan to arrive early as the agenda is a full one. More info is available on the CGA website which is linked to our website or can be accessed directly at Connecticut General Assembly Rich |
